This journey began around the dinner table in Greenwich, Connecticut, in the spring of 1999, as the Muhr family noticed a frustrating lack of quality markers for drinking water.

Hallstein Artesian Water is drinking water in its purest form, sourced from a deep artesian aquifer in the Dachstein mountain range of the Austrian Alps. Through a unique natural geological process, Hallstein gains the ideal combination of high 8.3 alkalinity and no sodium, helping to return the body's pH back to neutral (7) and balance many of the acidic elements we encounter every day.

The naturally occurring high Dissolved Oxygen combined with no TOC (Total Organic Carbon) results in water with "body" and a pure, fresh taste that complements and lifts complex flavor profiles. The source is 100% sustainable and self-contained, constantly replenished from raindrops after an eight-year journey through the highest quality limestone. Never forced or pumped, we only bottle what can be harvested naturally.
